Don' buy, adopt!!! The most beautiful dogs and cats who need homes are here. And the staff are so helpful and caring. This could be my second home.....

Save A Pet is really a good place. Like the sticker on a car today made me thought of them. "Real men don't hurt animals." I so wanted tolet Save A Pet make this their slogan! Keep up all the good work as you guys can only receive positive reviews.

I love all animals and I really love Save-A-Pet. Wish in the near future I can work for them and make a difference and show animals how they should be treated.

ABOUT US

Please adopt your pet from an animal shelter.

Save-a-Pet is an animal rescue centre situated near Greenbushes, Port Elizabeth that rescues, rehabilitates, reunites and re-homes abandonedreception, abused, lost and stray dogs and cats.

We are a non-profit making organisation committed to functioning with a pro-life policy. We believe no healthy animal should be destroyed and that all animals should enjoy a good quality of life.

Ideally we would like our dogs and cats to be suitably homed for life and cared for by responsible owners. While they remain at Save-a-Pet we strive to provide an environment where our animals are protected, well cared for and loved.

Our aim is to sterilize and to eliminate cruelty to animals, whether arising from ignorance, neglect or deliberate cruelty and to alleviate suffering and promote wellbeing. In addition to the more than 200 dogs and cats in our full time care, Save-a-Pet assists the surrounding informal areas as finances allow, with sterilisation to prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens being our main focus.

These goals come at a huge financial cost each month and we rely entirely on the generosity and goodwill of the animal-loving public for financial support.

Thank you to our regular supporters and those of you who have responded to calls for help when it has been urgently needed. Words cannot express our gratitude.
